Daily Itinerary
Day 1 Hotel Alto Atacama San Pedro de Atacama

Arrive into Santiago’s International Airport, where you will take an internal flight up to Calama. There, you will have a meet and greet by a representative of Hotel Alto Atacama who will transfer you to San Pedro de Atacama in the Chilean Altiplano, an oasis at the north end of the Atacama Salt Flats, a vast saline lake. You will check into your Catarpe Room. The name ‘Catarpe' derives from the valley in which Alto Atacama is found. The private terraces of these guestrooms offer an uninterrupted view out onto the Cordillera de la Sal range and the Catarpe Valley. Then you wil have the remainder of the afternoon free to acclimate yourself to the high altitude (2,400 meters / 8,000 feet) and decide what activities you would like to choose for your 3-night stay. (click here to browse activities)

Day 2 Hotel Alto Atacama San Pedro de Atacama
After an American Buffet breakfast, you can choose from a variety of activities and excursions, from van trips around the area to trekking, mountain biking, and nighttime star-gazing at Alto Atacama's open-air observatory. Lunch and dinner including aperitif, wine, and soft drinks are included, with open bar until 11:00 pm and snacks from the bar menu. You have free use of mountain bikes, access to the spa (sauna, steam room, indoor whirlpool bath, etc.), use of outdoor pools and whirlpool bath, as well as complimentary transfer service between the hotel and San Pedro de Atacama from 8:30 am to 11:30 pm.
Day 3 Hotel Alto Atacama San Pedro de Atacama
Today is another day of your choosing in and around San Pedro: relax or try your hand at a new excursion.
Day 4 Huasi Lafquen B&B Puerto Varas

After breakfast you will have a transfer to the airport for your flight to Santiago, where you will change planes and take a flight to the southern city of Puerto Montt. We will greet you at the airport and transfer for the short drive to Puerto Varas, the “City of Roses”, and on to our small Bed & Breakfast outside of town, on a small peninsula on the eastern shore of Lake Llanquihue (yan KEY way) in the heart of Chile's Lakes District. We are away from the crowds but close enough to enjoy all the numerous activities this area has to offer! We will have dinner together and go over all of the available excursions for your stay. (click to download activities list)

Day 5 Huasi Lafquen B&B Puerto Varas
After breakfast together, you will have a full or half day excursion of your choice. This area is known for adventure activities such as whitewater rafting on crystal blue waters (levels 3 and 4), lake kayaking or sea kayaking in the fjords, canopy, cannyoning, trekking, horseback riding, and many more. There are also numerous other cultural / nature tours available. Your box lunch will be included, as well as dinner and drinks back at the B&B.
Day 6 Huasi Lafquen B&B Puerto Varas

Today is another day to enjoy Puerto Varas and the area with an optional activity. Besides those mentioned above, maybe you can take a full or half day mountain biking tour of the area. Whatever you choose, we will have a hot meal (and maybe a Pisco Sour, the national drink?) waiting for you when you return.
Day 7 Lodge Las Torres Torres del Paine National Park
After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight down to Punta Arenas, on the Strait of Magellan. Here a representative from the Lodge Las Torres will meet you for your transfer up through the Pampas and into Torres del Paine National Park (5 hours approx.), a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. You will be immersed in a special microclimate filled with unique flora and fauna, witnessing Patagonian foxes, guanacos (American camels) and huge condors, all amid numerous lakes and at the foot of the immense granite “Torres” and “Cuernos”. You will make a stop at a working ranch for lunch during your transfer, and then dinner and drinks will be provided at the lodge.
Day 8 Lodge Las Torres Torres del Paine National Park

Today is the first of three full days to make the most of this breathtaking spot on the planet. Your all-inclusive program allows you to relax and enjoy your time here, taking part in some of the numerous activities offered by the lodge. Las Torres will give you specifics on what excursions are available each day, but for an idea, click here. Your program includes park entrance fees, all meals, free Wi-Fi, open bar, all excursions and boat trips, and a 35% discount on spa services (massages and treatments).
Day 9 Lodge Las Torres Torres del Paine National Park
Ready for some trekking? If you are up to a full day hike, the Frenchman's Valley between the horns and towers is what many consider to be the most beautiful section of the park. For a closer view of the Towers, you can always head up to the lagoon at the base of the Torres, a favorite spot amongst trekkers. Guides are always available, with your box lunch being provided for any excursions away from the lodge.
Day 10 Lodge Las Torres Torres del Paine National Park
For a true Patagonian experience, there are various horseback riding trips you can take from the lodge, enabling you to witness more secluded parts of the park in a way most visitors never will. There are also many van trips taking you throughout the park to let you get those perfect photos. Whatever you decide, a hot dinner, cold drink and warm bed will be waiting for you back at the lodge. Enjoy your last day!
Day 11               Santiago, Home
After breakfast, the lodge will provide your transfer to the airport outside of Punta Arenas (5 hours approx.) for your flight to Santiago either to extend your trip or to make your international connection home.
