|Day 1||Lodge Las Torres||Torres del Paine National Park, Chile|
Arrive into Santiago’s International Airport, where you will take an internal flight down to Punta Arenas, on the Strait of Magellan. Here a representative from the Lodge Las Torres will meet you for your transfer up through the Pampas and into Torres del Paine National Park (5 hours approx.), a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. You will be immersed in a special microclimate filled with unique flora and fauna, witnessing Patagonian foxes, guanacos (American camels) and huge condors, all amid numerous lakes and at the foot of the immense granite “Torres” and “Cuernos”. You will make a stop at a working ranch for lunch during your transfer, and then dinner and drinks will be provided at the lodge.
|Day 2||Lodge Las Torres||Torres del Paine National Park, Chile|
Today is the first of three full days to make the most of this breathtaking spot on the planet. Your all-inclusive program allows you to relax and enjoy your time here, taking part in some of the numerous activities offered by the lodge. Las Torres will give you specifics on what excursions are available each day, but for an idea, click here. Your program includes park entrance fees, all meals, free Wi-Fi, open bar, all excursions and boat trips, and a 35% discount on spa services (massages and treatments).
|Day 3||Lodge Las Torres||Torres del Paine National Park, Chile|
Ready for some trekking? If you are up to a full day hike, the Frenchman's Valley between the horns and towers is what many consider to be the most beautiful section of the park. For a closer view of the Towers, you can always head up to the lagoon at the base of the Torres, a favorite spot amongst trekkers. Guides are always available, with your box lunch being provided for any excursions away from the lodge.
|Day 4||Lodge Las Torres||Torres del Paine National Park, Chile|
For a true Patagonian experience, there are various horseback riding trips you can take from the lodge, enabling you to witness more secluded parts of the park in a way most visitors never will. There are also many van trips taking you throughout the park to let you get those perfect photos. Whatever you decide, a hot dinner, cold drink and warm bed will be waiting for you back at the lodge. Enjoy your last day!
|Day 5||Hotel Kosten Aike||El Calafate, Argentina|
This morning Lodge Los Torres will provide your transfer all the way to El Calafate, Argentina. You will leave the national park and stop at the small border town of Cerro Castillo, where you will cross into Argentina, then continue across the Pampa to the tourist town of El Calafate on Lake Argentino, and on to your centrally located hotel. Los Glaciares National Park is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and includes the lakes Argentino and Viedma to the north. You will have the remainder of the afternoon free to explore the town filled with shops, bookstores and restaurants.
|Day 6||Hotel Kosten Aike||El Calafate, Argentina|
After breakfast in the hotel, you will begin your adventure for the day with a transfer of aound 1½ hours west towards the ice field. You will then take a navigation of roughly 20 minutes, passing directly in front of the Perito Moreno glacier, and disembarking on the southern edge of the glacier. From here you will walk another 20 minutes where you will begin your Ice-trekking excursion. After approximately 2 hours on the ice, you will return to the catamaran which will take you to the walkways in front of the glacier, allowing stunning views of both faces. Late afternoon transfer back to your hotel in El Calafate. Pack your own box lunch today.
|Day 7||Hotel Kosten Aike||El Calafate, Argentina|
This morning you will have a full day boating excursion to visit numerous glaciers in the national park. After a little more than an hour and a half, you will have your first glimpse of the Upsala glacier. After getting a closeup view, you will continue to Onelli Bay. Here you will disembark for a hike through the forest to arrive at the Onelli Lake, where you will be able to observe the Onelli, Agassiz and Bolado glaciers. Later afternoon transfer back to El Calafate. Pack your own box lunch today.
|After breakfast, you will have a transfer to the airport outside of town for your flight to Buenos Aires, either to extend your trip or to make your international connection home.|
